While I was looking for some inspiration for a few projects I came across a few favorites on Pinterest…
Oh how I love fresh flowers. It would be so ideal to have them delivered weekly. When we went on our cruise a few weeks back we visited Seattle and I got to walk through an amazing fresh flower market. I wanted to get a batch just for my tiny cruise room. Anyway, I wanted to share one of my favorite places to get flowers locally. Trader Joes has fabulous flowers at such great prices. Check out this batch of gladiolus that I got for $1.99. Find your local Trader Joes and add a punch of color to your house!
Anybody else have a favorite place to get flowers?

I love the tiny linen shades.
What could be more fun than a bright red floor lamp that seems to be mimicking the
draping of the large willow in the background?
This oversized light fixture just might take the “most intriguing floor lamp award”
with its amazing tall and chunky design. A deep purple shade adds even more stature
to this statement piece.
House & Home calls this one a large and playful lamp and we agree. The matte
metal finish is so pretty with a lilac and taupe color palette.
Full of beach house style, this capiz shell floor lamp could also easily bring a
coastal vibe from the seashore to a big city apartment. It’s light-hearted and lots

A while back one of my favorite designers, Kirsten, from the blog 6th Street Design School was asking for donations for a model home that she was doing in Utah. I decided to offer some sewing skills so that I could have the opportunity to help her out. Here is the room that she designed. I provided the drapes and the pillow done in the trellis fabric. Check out her blog for sources and more pictures of the rest of the home.
Thanks to Jylare for pictures!
